Drivers along the Major Deegan Expressway may be puzzled at a notation on the Yankee Stadium marquee. In the right-hand corner, next to the opponent and time of game, is a three-digit number. Tonight it will be 262.

 

The number represents the number of games left at Yankee Stadium before the Yankees open their new park in 2009

 

they're starting it in 2005, why not 2007 or 2008, a little early, huh?

 

but I thought that number was the number of men left on base by a-rod.
