Hmmm....interesting this announcement came 1 day after Palmeiroids was tested positive.

 

I don't think bonds is still as hurt as he claims, but he is just plain scared of being tested. the giants are very much still in the NL West race and if he could pinch hit a couple times a week it could make the difference of a filled SBC park and an empty SBC park in October.

SBC's attendance is way down. And there's not many people in their boats waiting to reel in a HR.

 

Bonds announcements aren't surpirsing since he practically expects the media to cater to his every whim, then throws these hissy fits. He practically used his son as a shield to deflect any "controversy".

 

MLB should look at someone else to represent the league. Bonds just comes across as a big jerk, and that's putting it politely. I'd rather see a guy like Pujols for example; he's put up massive offensive numbers, has a lot of potential, plays in one of the best baseball markets, not mention has a big heart. Or Vlad. Or A-Rod. Oops, there I said it.

I miss those rubber chicken-waving shitheads. I think they gave away free Barry Bonds bobbleheads earlier this year at Telephone Park. Amazingly, they're still one of the leaders in the NL in attendance. (Not like the kind of attendance they had @ the Stick)

I think Barroids might end up being traded to a championship-caliber AL team. But Arte Moreno isn't dumb enough to trade young prospects for a 1-2-year fix. Oh wait, he changed his team's name to "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim." Never mind (since Moreno is doing anything he can to market a 2nd rate SoCal franchise).
