Billy Wagner - R - PHI

The Red Sox may be willing to give up Bronson Arroyo, Kevin Youkilis and Kelly Shoppach in exchange for Billy Wagner, according to the Boston Herald.

That's too high of a price to pay for a closer, but it's a seller's market right now. Because he feels he could go to the Red Sox, White Sox or another team, Billy Wagner is traveling with extra clothes and extra suitcases on the Phillies' current road trip. Jul. 29 - 2:13 pm et

Matt Lawton - OF - PIT

Matt Lawton, the subject of trade talks in Pittsburgh, would love to play for the Red Sox, a source told the Boston Herald.

Lawton and Jose Cruz Jr. are a couple of outfielders Boston is believed to be looking at as replacements for Trot Nixon and then eventually reserves. Lawton doesn't seem like quite such a great fit for the Red Sox, as he should be playing left field and he'd probably have to bat at the bottom of the lineup since he's another left-handed hitter. That Cruz is only signed through the end of the season might make

Wow way too high a price for Wags. I love him and all but giving up a SP the future at 3B and our top C prospect(uselessor not) is way too much,

Enless the Sox are really interested in getting the player with the worst fundamentals in the entire league I don't see why they're interested in Lawton. I've never seen one major league player miss this many pop ups in a single season. Lawton is pathetic in RF and may be the worst base runner in the league. Picking up Lawton would be a huge mistake.
