Hey all,

 

Just found this place doing a google search for Sox messageboards and figured I'd give it a whirl. I have to say though that after perusing this site for a short time there does seem to be alot of hostility in alot of the threads. Not sure how much I dig that.

 

Anyway, hope to be a good contributor here and learn a bit more about my fave team.

I think you've just caught us at a bad time with the Yankees in town. After the Yankees leave to go onto Texas and the Sox take on Tampa Bay things will go back to being more peaceful. Seems like things get a little hectic around here when we are playing New York, especially with the lead as short as it is and it being a four games series.

Thanks for the welcome SfiT, That sounds like a logical explanation for the hostility. Is there anything better than battling for first place with a four game weekend series against the dreaded Yanks in Boston?

Yeah, it's great. I think everyone enjoys the intensity of the games, and since a lot of people will post while watching the game vs. the Yankees, a lot of things that are said probably shouldn't be about New York and maybe are regretted a little later, but things will cool off after the series. There seem to be a lot of people here that really know their baseball, so I'm sure you'll fit right in.
