Tito? Terry?

A few days ago I was listening to WEEI and the intelligensia on there were talking about the linup Francona put on the field for the first game at Baltimore. Why not? Everyone else was, too. However, all the participants kept referring to Francona as Tito. Now I believe Tito is his Dad and I have never heard him called that before. Have I been missing something? Just wondering.

It's Francona's nickname. It's his dad's name as well.

I dunno where I got it from. I heard someone call him it, then it just stuck. Its much better to say than Terry though.
