Dereek Lee, injured ??!

I for one am a fan of what Derek Lee has been able to do this season, a candidate to win the triple crown award. Lots of respect for him and plus my favorite team in the NL, have to be the Cubs. My jaw just dropped readin this story on Yahoo sports, hope its not serious. cuz ya know cubs comeback would be sidelined without Lee

 

 

Lee leaves game with shoulder injury

 

JChicago Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee, who leads the majors with a .378 batting average, left Tuesday night's game against the Atlanta Braves with a shoulder injury. Lee backed out of the batter's box in apparent pain during his first-inning at-bat. He remained in the game and struck out. After playing two innings, however, Lee left the game. The Cubs said Lee left with left shoulder irritation. No further information on the injury or Lee's status was immediately available.

 

Lee is second in the majors with 25 homers and third in the NL with 67 RBIs. Jerry Hairston, who was on deck to bat for Lee in the top of the third, took the field at second base in the bottom of the inning as Todd Walker moved from second to first. Lee started the Cubs' first 82 games at first base.

Yeah....probably nothing too serious though. Just a little shoulder pain. Of course on the otehr hand, it could be a problem with his rotator cuff That would suck...I nearly ripped mine and couldn't move my shoulder for a month.
