so, here i am, midnight debating the best pitch in baseball today. here's what i came up with in no real order

Tim Wakefields Knucle

Clemens aresenal of fastballs

Johnsons slider

Johan Santanas change

Posted

Eric Gagne's fastball

Brad Lidge's slider

Ben Sheets' curve

Pedro Martinez's changeup

Roger Clemens' splitter

D-Lowe's 2003 ALDS ending pitch (whatever it was)

That was a two-seamer. Maddux perfected running that back in against lefties to freeze them. Awesome pitch.

Amen. I would have to go with Pedro's changeup of olde, especially when paired with his fastball. It was painful to see hitters swing at those. :(

I don't know about the mlb, but my Spilt FIngered knucle ball is the s***, even if i havent thrown off a mound before or even to a hitter. lol. Best pitch i've seen was Zito's curve, the way it goes up then drops is cool. I also like that rising fastball that Kim had when he was good

Schilling's splitter

Zitos Curve

Wakes Knuckeler

Santanas change

Marianos cutter

also in no particular order.

Id have to agree, those 5 are a pretty crazy combo. Just think those could be all put into one pitcher, YIKES :o

That's actually one of the things that impresses me about Wader Miller he may not have that one dominating pitch that these guys have but he just has so many different pitches in his pocket he can mix and match and use whatever happens to be working that day.

Yeah too bad he sucks this year.

his past 3 starts have all been quality starts... and in his past 7 games 5 of them were quality starts.. since the end of april his era and dropped over 2 whole points.

zito is shaping up. now only if EC could also.
