Anyone else been keeping up with/watching this. I havent been able to watch a lot of it since its on during the day, but from what I have seen, its been pretty intense. I've had the priviledge of watching a few of Rafael Nadal's matches, and he has looked pretty damn impressive. Anyone else who keeps up with this stuff, who do you like to win this one? Safin getting beat was a stunner, I didnt think someone could make so many unforced errors...

 

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot, Andy Roddick is overrated.

The winner of the semifinals match, Nadal vs. Federer will take it on the mens side. Gonna be a pretty damn awesome match.

Unseeded Mariano Puerta beat the 12th seed Nikolay Davydenko earlier today in 5 sets. He will face the winner of Federer vs. Nadal which will be taking place this afternoon. That will be the match of the tournament, and maybe even of the year. Nadal seems a bit uneasy about the high attention and high stakes of this match so I think Federer will be able to win it.

Nadal won in 4 sets, fairly easily. He played very well, and will probably end Puertas cinderella run. Gooooooooooo Nadal!

But, its Nadal, and he is probably the best player in the entire world on clay, even better than Federer. If it was grass or hard court though, Federer probably would have won.

Its hard to follow unless its on TV, so these are the events that I can follow. If you play it, which I do, its much easier/more fun/a good experience to watch matches, especially with great players. Goes to show you what unforced errors do. (Those kiiiiiiiiiiiiiilled Federer today)

And tennis, especially good tennis, is really exciting to watch. It can get so fast paced.

And yeah, thats why I dont like to watch the first few rounds of the tournaments that much because it just isnt that great. Its better when its two great players with a lot on the line.

yeah but nadal played federer pretty damn tough in florida earlier this year, i think he was a few points away from beating federer in straight sets but roger stormed back.....

 

Where's Roddick? Maybe he should work on his footwork instead of his 151 MPH serve...

Roddick is very overrated. All he can do is serve and hit a big forehand. Plus add in the fact that clay slows the ball down, and also that Roddick sucks on clay. I like clay though, its so much fun to play on... sliding all over the place.

my favorite surface is grass, clay and hardcourt are at the same level of likeability (is that a word?) for me......

Rafael Nadal won it all today. He beat Puerta 6-7, 6-3, 6-1, 7-5. Nadal is a mad pimp.
