Sox trying to extend the winning streak to 6, but a tough task on the mound.

Game is at 7:05 tonight.

I have faith in the offense to get to Halliday - he doesn't have that good of an ERA in Fenway from what I remember. Plus Bronson is pitching better than his ERA shows. Last game against the Yanks he should have been out of that inning with only 1 ER when Sheff walked on the strike.

Plus they're going for 6 and their rolling right now.

oiy... 4-3 jays... another one gets away, where is Keith Foulke from 2004?

Well, we need a run in the 9th against Batista, not impossible, but unlikely

on a good note TB leads NY 6-2

Don't be a pessimist...it will be an ugly game tomorrow because the O's don't have much pitching...and for us I'm pretty sure it's Wells....oh well, it will be high scoring, but the O's kill us a lot so I dunno what to tihnk. Who knows? Maybe we sweep...

Our offense still hasn't gone out yet...

f***ing Ramon Vazquez...go back to where you came from. That one hit and now he's stinking it up...0/4 with 3 ground outs and that final painful flyout. WHY THE f*** DIDN'T THEY PINCH HIT AHHHHH.

Tito - I love you man. But here's a little tip...from now on:

a) Whenever you think Vasquez is a good replacement for Mueller as a starter on an offday, think again and while youre at it stab him in the face.

B) Don't ever substitute Manny unless you're 8 runs or more up. Just a thought.

On another note: Arroyo's the man.

I just realized the Billy Mueller has the flu (flu-like symptoms, what f***ing ever) so get better quick so we can put an end to the other disease AKA Vasquez.

Tito should not use defensive replacements until the 9th inning, I would of bet a good amount of money that Manny gets a clutch hit in Payton' AB in the 8th. I still think you need to lay off Vazquez, this guy is a good player who is still getting accustomed to Boston. He hasn't had many at bats here, but I think he will be a solid player in the long run.

He took out Millar and put in McCarty in the 7th! The 7th! Millar might have even gotten another AB.

McCarty got a base hit, you can't blame him for that one. This game wasn't managed poorly, Embree just made a bad pitch... the bullpen isn't as great as we make it out to be, we need a lefty like Billy Wagner in the pen.

You know one thing I don't get....why didn't we try to set up our rotation where we are pitching ATLEAST one reliable guy in one of the two games against the Orioles? (Wells pitches tomorrow, Clement on Thursday). We could have used Wells and Clement vs. the Blue Jays and saved Schilling and Arroyo for the birds. Hopefully the Sox put up some run support for these guys.

The blame for this game can be rested on Embree. 1 out of 10 times defensive replacements will come back to bite you, but the other 9 times they help much more than they hurt. You can't really fault Francona for doing that. If Manny had dropped a fly ball in the 8th and 2 runs had scored, we would all be blaming Francona for not taking him out.

I highly doubt they are going to re-align the rotation for the Orioles. Plus Schilling was coming off an injury and pitched as early as possible. We shouldn't base our roation around one team - even the yankees. If they're in the rotation then they should be ready to go on their turn in the rotation.

Remember strange things happen - who was the Sox pitcher in the 2003 ALCS Game 6 when the Sox needed to win that game? John Burkett - we looked dead on paper but he came through. Plus Wells pitched well last game.
