Clemens to Boston?

I think at this point the Yankees may want to be unloading rather than gathering up if the way they keep playing continues... by the way where has the good ol' YANKEESRULE been?

I hope they choke like no team has ever choked before and then they keep getting more superstars and they all get jealous and stuff it would be funny!

I think if either of the teams acquire Clemens, as most have said, it'd be the Yankees. But then who could they give up for him? The aforementioned Robinson Cano or Chien-Ming Wang -- and if they want to give up those two, I'm all for it. Wang has been their best pitcher and he'll just get better and Cano has been solid.

 

The Yankees acquiring Clemens would just be another step towards their demise -- it might hold it off for a little bit, but it's inevitable. So it goes when you have a depleted farm system and an old team.

Exactly - I say let them pilfer the little talent left in their farm system to get a guy for year, year and a half. Go right ahead - mortgage your future. It would be very consistant with George's philosophy too.
