People who should have gotten some votes.

Corey Dillon- Carried this offense all year. 1653 yards and 13 TD's

Curtis Martin- Without him the Jets could have easily been 6-10.

Ben Roethlisberger- Hasn't lost in his career, what more do I need to say.

Drew Brees- Led Chargers to playoffs with a great season.

Shaun Alexander- Best season in his career and best season for any RB this year. Led Seahawks to playoffs.

Peyton deserved it, but I still think he's overrated until he can beat good defenses, which he will have a chance to do this Sunday. And to add to your list Yankshater, you should put McNabb and Owens.

I wouldn't say TO carried the team but I also wouldn't say that they would have the same record without him. He was a key asset to the team with what, 14 TD's?

Ben Roethlisberger definitely shouldn't have won it. What are you guys talking about? His team has a great defense and great running game. You act like he carried the team on his shoulders. I mean, Brady had better stats and has, in 3 out of 4 seasons, carried his team to the playoffs and he doesn't even get talked about here.

Manning deserved it and Roethlisberger didn't, even Brady deserved it more than Ben.

I agree with all of them except for Curtis Martin. If not for him, they have Lamont Jordan, who's likely nearly as good as Martin, and deserves to be starting somewhere. Career year aside, Martin's still just a 4.1 yards a carry rusher. I think it's certainly within reason to think that Jordan could be a Pro Bowl back with 350 touches.

Why I Chose Martin:

Martin has cracked at least 77 yards in every single Jets victory this season, and at least 88 in all but one. He has hit triple digits in seven Jet victories. He's gained 77, 88, 196, 119, 110, 111, 115, 99, 134, and 134 yards in the Jets 10 wins.

Only once all season has Martin gained more than 77 yards when the Jets lost, with 70, 67, 119, 72, and 33 yards in the Jets' five losses.

As you can see with Martin, his team has a better record when he plays well, and he is basically the whole team. When Chad Pennington went down, the team still went 2-1 in three games without him. Santana Moss hasn't been himself all season and John Abraham has been hurt as well, and the Jets are still winning on the legs of one man: Curtis Martin.
