How Far Will The Eagles Go?

I say superbowl. Even though they lost TO they still have the same team as the last 3 years BUT they also have Jeremiah Trotter who is a pro bowler this year AND Jevon Kearse who is wicked good and should be a pro bowler. With the same offense and better defense as the years before I think they can make it to the big game.

The Eagles rested all their starters last night, and the Rams actually had something to play for, of course they were going to lose. If the Pats lose to the Niners this weekend with Rohan Davey at QB does that mean that the Pats will lose in the 2nd round.

whats weird is that ur a retard thinking that the eagles lost to the rams last night in full force. mcnabb didnt start, nor did westbrook...i dont even think kearse did. the NFC is complete trash...theres no one who is going to beat the eagles in the playoffs until the superbowl.

 

besides, TO will be available to them in the superbowl...hes already working out his ankle and he can work on it.

TO is just a reciever. he means a lot to there team and all but it could be worse. anyway i think they will make it to the NFC Championship and lose for the 4th straight time. the Panthers are my pick to make it to the superbowl and lose to the Pats for the 2nd year in a row.

soxfan#1 is stupid. That game last week is like preseason for the eagles. It didn't matter at all to the eagles meaning Jeff Blake, THE THIRD STRING QB, came in to play. Obviously they are gonna lose.

 

Atlanta is definitely the only team that has a shot. Panthers are .500 and aren't that good and it was a fluke last year. Vikings have no defence, Packers have no defense, Seahawks have nothing, Atlanta has MICHAEL VICK.

 

Atlanta v Phillie will be a good game but Phillie has the edge. Vick has the 26TH RANKED QB RATING in the NFL. He can't throw. And with Brian Dawkins at FS Vick can't run up the middle all the time. Eagles are superbowl bound baby.

panthers are .500. but they started 1-7. thats saying something. plus, they were plagued by injuries and those players will be coming back. there D is awsome and on offense muhamad is doing awsome and steve smith with be coming back. nick goings has been a pleasant surprise for them this season.

 

i do agree with you on atlanta has the ultimate X-factor in Mike Vick, and even though the falcons beat the panthers earlier in the season i dont think it will happen again. i dont think anyone will beat the cats the rest of the season(including the playoffs) until the pats do in the superbowl.

if this is your only argument to say that atlanta will lose its kinda bad...no offense, but vick is only one of the most explosive QBs in the NFL today. he can do anything in any given situation. and no, vick has an INCREDIBLE arm. he can throw that thing like theres no tomorrow, his accuracy is the question. if he can master the west-coast offense even more he will have the power to do almost anything. its not the numbers that count for vick, just his presence and being himself on the field and trying to make plays is what counts. so what if he has the 26th ranked QB rating? well this 26th QB rating ranked QB is about to go into the playoffs in full swing.

I have better accuracy than him. Vick is explosive but don't leave out McNabb, he is better than Vick. Vick can run great, so can McNabb if he wants to as you saw him have 2 great runs last game when TO left. Vick has terrible accuracy and McNabb has great accuracy. McNabb is better than Vick and he has a better supporting cast so Eagles have the better team.

on paper it looks good for the eagles, but keith brooking and rossum will stop any run that mcnabb throws at them. besides, im not even sure it will be atlanta in the NFC championship. if favre hadnt thrown that pick last year near the end of the game he could have marched right down the field and led the pack to a tie/game winning drive. it was poor decision making. also, the difference between favre and mcnabb is that he favre MAKES weapons out of what hes given. mcnabb has to live with what hes given....he was given TO and suddenly hes throwing a shitload of TDs, which last year....he only 5 the whole season!!! given TO, TO alone snapped that in like week 2 or 3. now that TO is out, mcnabb isnt going to have too many weapons anymore.

 

i dont like the eagles, but i do think they will make the superbowl. its just not going to be as easy as everyone thinks it will be.

Those names for defense aren't in order, I just wrote 4 defensive players for each team and said Falcons had a better defense.

 

Falcons are obviously the second best team to the eagles so I don't know what your talking about. They could easily beat Pack, Vikes, Seahawks, Cats, anybody.
