I think either Omar Vizquel, because he is a favorite of Ozzie Guillen, or Eric Miltion to the Yankees. Oh yea a side note, what SS do we sign?

Vizquel's going to sign with the White Sox

 

Larkin can't play everyday, is limited defensivly and is old, most likely signs with the Washington franchise.

We should purely sign a stopgap at SS. I don't like Larkin in a starting role and Vizquel looks like he's off to the other Sox. What about trading for Julio Lugo for a season and then non-tender him after the season (or just let him go via free agency if he's not arbo-eligible any longer)? That court case he has going on in Houston is scary, though.

larkin would be last on my list just because of how he has defensively and offensively declined...and i dont think would be able to start every day. face it, hes not even close to the old barry larkin.

Actually, RP Doug Brocail was the first FA to officially sign (with the Rangers, on 11/12). But Vizquel is the first that anyone actually gives a s*** about.
