Ok, so we were struck with an injury game 1, down 0-1. It happens. Game 2, pedro pitches well, but what can you say, you have to give Lieber credit. So now we are down 0-2.

Everyone that thinks were out of it, first note this. I know it's been said before, but game 3 is the make or break game of the series. We're either in it 1-2, or out 0-3, there's a huge difference.

Bronson Arroyo will take Game 3, and to be honest I have more faith in him than I do Martinez at this point. Arroyo has had four starts against the Yankees, and the Red Sox have won all 4 games. Arroyo has even matched up with Kevin Brown twice, so it's actually a favorable matchup. We win Game 3, were down 2-1, the same spot we were in last year.

Yes, I know it looks bad, we were dealt a bad hand this round, but the Yankee's have been playing their's really well. Wakefield has been an equalizer in the past against the Yankees, and just as quickly as we were down 0-2 we could be tied 2-2.

So this is what I'm saying, give the Red Sox your faith for at least one more game, we need not hand over the AL Pennant just like that.

I agree with all that and I want to add one more thing. The last two nights the Yankees starting pitching has looked scary, I will admit that. However, the Yankees only halfway decent reliever, Gordon, looked like he didn't know what a baseball was. WIthout Rivera they would have lost, and the thing about a closer is that you have to get to him. If their starter doesn't go 7-8 strong, then I think the Yankee's should be scared about the relievers they are tossing. People act like this series is over, that is the beauty of a 7 game series, this could be 2-2, and its the Yankees who are scared come back to New York.

The Sox should take a long look at how they're pitching the MFY and how they're pitching to them. Turning this series around is not just a matter of being back at Fenway.

Sox pitchers needs to get ahead in counts and consistently stay high and tight on Jeter, Rodriguez and Matsui. I'll scream if I see another low pitch to Matsui, he is a great low ball hitter, period.

Sox hitters need to adjust and stop chasing bad pitches. Being patient is good, but they are down in counts and it's hard to hit like that in big game situations.

Obviously Friday is crucial. Thankfully, enough of them were here last year when they came back to Fenway down 2-0 to Oakland.

i dont know about you guys, but i havent seen this team looking like they want it this year. the fans want it and the team should be ashamed of themselves going onto the field everyday and not looking like they want it everyday.
