yea i have my doubts too...i see him coming back only if he doesnt get as much as we are paying him for now. also mike mathenys a FA...maybe we could see what we could work out?...yes i know im saying i want too many people but im a sox fan...i want a good team...just like we all do

yankee fans are wanting about the same amount you said, in fact a lot of names we want you want, so we'll see. I think just for the fact Lowes described by the media as a "mental gidget" will be enough for him to want to leave. I don't want him though.

I think if the pitchers adjusted to Youkillis they'd done it already. Youkillis is showing a lot of power at the plate, just can't get them fair. Enough with negativity already, you predict doom way too much. Arroyo can pitch fine as a 3 starter, because he is getting real good. Wake can be 4, and Abe Alvarez? Maybe if he has a good spring training. Too early for next season though

 

 

I don't actually think I was being that negative...I said Youk would go down in production, but come back up.

 

Arroyo is doing really well this year (considering he wasn't even supposed to be in the rotation) and he has shown good signs. But would you count on him as a #3 starter facing off against other #3s?

 

I love Wake, even said good stuff about him in my post.

 

Alvarez is a good prospect, but will he be ready in 05? Doesn't seem like the Sox are ready to give him that #5 spot if he's still in AA right now.

 

Granted I post a lot of things that can be considered "negative," but I like to think I'm more "realistic" than "negative."

C-Matheny( if u cant get him mirabelli then after a while shoppach.Mirabelli can do it wen tek was inured he alternated with hatterberg and he did good.)

LF-Ramirez

CF-Damon

RF-Nixon/Roberts(let roberts pinch run in the ninth and let roberts play against righties it might be vice versa though)

DH-Ortiz

i dont think this is gunna last..im just saying that i also think mientkiewicz should be in there everyday, his defense is phenomenal and he does have a good bat. i didnt say that he SUCKED, i will just take a good bat and great defense that a hot bat and not so great defense.

but would you have said that a month ago? No, exactly your point. he has caught fire and is playing as well as anyone. a hot bat should be in the lineup, even if he hasnt had a great past.
