Bellhorn scores again. And you've just got to love how he seems to get calls that more free-swinging hitters don't seem to get. Does anybody think that the umpires are aware of the reps of walk machines the same way that they are of pitchers who are known for throwing strikes? Sometimes I wonder if Bellhorn isn't getting some Maddux/Glavine-like gifts from the umps.

To be honest, though, I don't think Ortiz made THAT great a case for MVP last year. He got himself into the picture, which was great. But he wasn't going to have a legitimate shot at it.
