I know this might be kind of rude towards Mr. Pesky because it's not nice to talk about people passing away. But do you guys think that they will have a ceremony when he passes, like they did for Teddy Ball game?

Most definitely! He's been a fixture now for what, 50 something years, and the new ownership has made an effort to reach out and make him feel part of the team. He's given a lot of his time to the best interests of the club and is loved and recognized by millions of fans.

I really hope that they do. Because i went to the Ted Williams one and that was amazing

They definitely will. Maybe not on par with the Williams one, since he was a national star, but something nice nonetheless. Like Roy just said, hes been involved with the team for over 50 years (I think its closer to 60), and to not honor him would be injust.

I don't think he was a good enough player to have an entire foul pole dedicated to him with his number on it and everything. Maybe on "Johnny Pesky" day, but not as a permanent thing.

then maybe they should just call it the rightfield foul pole instead of pesky pole... even thought that name is kinda like a pun. but still
