The Red Sox are treading water this season, hovering around .500 despite big preseason expectations. What will happen to Alex Cora if they don't improve soon?

I recently looked it up. But the Giants were definitely interested in Tek as a managerial candidate two years ago.

Current Seattle manager Dan Wilson was the Mariners' All Star catcher in 1996, blocking Jason Varitek, who was floundering in the minors when dealt to Boston at the trade deadline in 1997.

The Mariners drafted Wilson and Varitek out of college, Wilson with the seventh overall pick of the 1990 draft and Varitek with the 14th pick of the 1994 draft.

Cora is more of a clown car than Bobby Valentine.  He cheats.  He doesn't understand the game based on his in-game moves, he doesn't treat players based on performance and he has no transparency.

I'd go get a reputable manager who is retired and beg him to comeback for a year or two while the owners hire a firm to search for an ideal manager with experience and knowledge of the game.  Maybe a Dusty Baker would fix Boston like he fixed Houston after Cora cheated there.  The sooner Cora is gone the better off the team will be.  It wouldn't shock me if Buehler returns to his old form if Cora is gone.  I know it worked for Sale in ATL.
