Perhaps this injury is a blessing in disguise. Injured or not he hasn’t looked great lately, and perhaps there’s a factor of fatigue in all of that. With the addition of Roman Anthony and Trevor Story, up to this point the offense that they have provided more than compensates for what he would’ve contributed. So let’s hope this is a way for him to get stronger for what lie ahead.

Adley has a long way to go, he looks completely lost out there, regardless of what he’s doing. When you say you want Anthony up over Duran what does that mean Duran goes down? Love the idea of Crochet and Bello tech team. Completely agree about Izzy and let’s just end the”story” there lol.

So I absolutely agree that Sogard has done an amazing job for the team as well as Siegler and Gasper and Montaserio, that I’m reading tonight is that maybe even during the remainder of the Marlin series that Trevor story will be brought up. This team has chemistry. They work very well together. Why can’t management, and I’m leading with my jaw when I say that, “management” that is, use some common sense and realize that the best operative here at all is to wait until when and if Trevor Story show us enough in Worcester to merit coming back the Sox? Why push another hit up against a team that plays together and does very well together, not much different than Adley who has done absolutely nothing since joining us, after compromising some very important prospects,why push another hit up against us by bringing Story upjust for the sake of bringing him up from his rehab assignment. He’s not hitting enough, and clearly almost by his own admission he can’t cover the range he used to. Every single game we play from here out is critical to what happens in the playoffs. Can anyone out here help me to understand why they would send someone down who’s playing great to bring up this guy who frankly has never really done a great deal for us in the time he spent with us. It’s time to just leave well enough alone, and if the likes of Trevor Story, Roman Anthony and even Crochet aren’t ready to contribute, they need to prove their worth to team that has come back from an amazing early season deficit

It’s really good to see so many people coming around and support of Duran. The immense pressure that some terrible fans have put on him, in the way that he has withstood it and does his best. Every night is more than admirable. Thank you to this group of posts for saying the right things and supporting him. He does have the skills to be a guy who can carry a team.

Overpaid for Miller? Marcel never matured to what he was billed to be. Are there a lot of factors why? Yes. Let’s see what he does with SF. But Miller is legit and fills a gap with a lefty reliever.

The point about the Cater for Lyle trade was set as an example a comparison of what happened today. Yes, trades can go either way, but when you are left with one catcher on your MLB roster and the other on the IL until who knows when when, again the comparison is that this deal makes zero sense on way too many levels.

Anyone know where Mike Greenwell is? I remember in ‘87 he came in to catch in one game, it was about as bad as it gets? I’m sorry, I apologize, I think Mike passed away. I’m just pissed about this trade.
