Exactly. Live with his defense at 3rd I guess. Mayer at second and Suarez at 3rd isn't a disaster at all and Suarez can situationally protect Roman.

Boras clients are really tough to negotiate with. Henry goes to 160...Cubs go to 170 and on and on...... When does it end and at what point as a business man do you refused to be leveraged further and further until it becomes distasteful? Contreras's stats are similar to Bregman's.

Take Joe Ryan completely out of the equation. Now look at Sonny Gray. There is no way this is a bad signing. He's everything the Sox need next year. He's a 3 who can pitch like a 2 Bello is a 4 who can pitch like a 3 We are still down a stud pitcher, but it might still happen. No idea why everything we do has to involve some sort of Joe Ryan analysis along side it.
