    Sandlin might just profile as a reliever long term but I think if he can stay even a fringe starter you have to get him to the bigs as one. He could be very fun. Blaze Jordan is probably AAAA But I bet someone will take him in a package this trade deadline. I think he has a nonzero chance to be a useful major league piece of some sort for a mid level team

    Unsure if this was mentioned earlier and I missed it: Will Flemming of WEEI was on their afternoon show (I think, or midday I forget) and relayed that the second day Devers was there he had a scheduled 1B fielding training with giants legend Will Clark, and instead blew it off and didn’t show up. Interesting at the very least, and I figured I’d bring this to the conversation for discussion

    Forgot Kelly was on the IL. I’d rather DFA him tbh. I highly doubt Sogard gets DFA’d, to me it just doesn’t feel like something they’d do. I honestly don’t see a single team in the league taking Hamilton for anything more than salary relief, given his poor production at like everything besides running fast. Hopefully the trades get going so the roster can be the rest of season roster.

    So this pretty much confirms: Campbell DFA Wednesday, Yoshida activated Option Eaton or Hamilton and activate Bregman later this week. Or option them both and call up Kelly too if bullpen numbers are too low. Right?

    With the return of Bregman coming very soon, Eaton will likely go down to Worcester… but I hope Hamilton does instead
