what we are concerned about is the growing list of starting pitchers on the DL

We are liking what we are seeing with the Red Sox(finally). They are hitting enough to win, and sitting at second in the league with runs allowed 2 behind Seattle with 353 , Sox now at +12 in runs scored, need to see that number continue to rise.

agreed, this National's team has been involved in a lot of high scoring games both for them as well as against them. Definitely a good start for the Sox again tonight

I am going to hold my tongue until these 3 games with the Nationals are in the books, however yeah when I look at that run difference, it pisses me off because of what could have been. I can not remember a year in which the Red Sox blew so many games for the starters because of lack of hitting. I remember a few years where it was the bullpen(and this years pen has had it's moments) that caused wins to turn into losses, but this year has been insane as far as how many games they could have won with a hit at the right moment. The sweep of the Yankees will mean nothing by next Monday, if they do not handle this upcoming week, six very winnable games on the slate. We hope they keep up what they started on the weekend
