Red Sox Interested In Catcher JT Realmuto
BaseballGuru replied to Brock Beauchamp's topic in Boston Red Sox Talk
WHERE IS OUR 2nd Ace or #2??? That is my question. I hated tuesdays deal. (2) 95-97 youngsters with 12 combined years of control for a rental who has anxiety in big markets and is 36 years old and cost 41 million when all said and done for 1 year. Terrible in my opinion. Unless you like red birds. So far how to mess up a situation that one could almost not mess up blindfolded has happened in move #1 -

In my opinion giving up the out was a huge mistake. Alex Cora fell into this bunting with runners already in scoring position at second base. Outs are far too valuable in my opinion. Especially with contact hitters coming up. Assuming Bo stays in the game. Like the 1986 Red Sox it just wasn't meant to be, But that may have been from the route they chose. 33% of your remaining outs is a heavy price. Fortune favors the bold swing away.

IMO Tanner Houck when healthy is a 1 or 2 ceiling with a 3 no brainer. Assuming health, He should be a solid mid to upper rotation arm. Great movement on his offerings and has potential to be a right handed Chris Sale if he puts it all together with command and control, but his health & stamina would need to surpass Sale in Boston to materialize.

Boston Red Sox Prefer Pete Alonso Over Kyle Schwarber
BaseballGuru replied to Matthew Lenz's topic in Boston Red Sox Talk
I'll take Schwarber but pass on Alonzo myself and run Casas out there at 1B Trade any/all of Yoshida, Sogard, Hamilton, & Eaton. Sign Bichette for 2b, let Mayer take 3b or shift Trev to 3rd and give Marcelo SS. Not a Alonzo fan over the main plan of youth and rebuilding, but I would get Breggy Back if possible... -

TC needs to be sat down and told "You are here to do 1 thing...Hit the ball in the seats" THAT'S IT‼️ NO worries about OBP, BB, SB, BA YOU'RE HERE to put the middle in pitch over the bullpen or into the batters eye, middle away bang it off or over the monster. Yes play good D but YOU ARE ONLY HERE TO CLEAR THE BASES‼️IF YOU HIT 210 WITH 40HRs YOU DID YOUR JOB IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ORDER‼️THE OTHER THINGS MAY COME IN TIME BUT AGGRESSIVE SWINGS EYES ON THE BALL TO THE BARREL AND LET IT FLY‼️ DO NOT TRADE HIM‼️ I BELIEVE FRANCONA BUT SOMEONE SAID THIS EXACT THING TO BIG PAPI AND HE ERUPTED FROM THAT SEASON TO THE HOF‼️ -
You keep both GG's in Duran & Abreu. Trade chips are Garcia, Bleis, Yoshida, Hamilton, Eaton, Gonzales, Romero, Arias not bringing back Refsnyder for any reason. Keep Casas‼️💯, I love persuing Bo Bichette as priority#1 for SS, and shifting Story to 2b just from an arm strength and accuracy perspective but keeping the range and athletic instincts on the right side. I like an extension for Bregman but if not Mayer takes hold there. If Bregman signs, put Marcelo as the UT/Inf to rest any of 1b, 2b, 3b, SS. Extend Romy Gonzales for 1b platoon with Casas or just to Spell rest at 1b, 2b or 3b. Bo is the key signing posotion player wise however. I am lookong for 3 to 7 arms materialize from the Fitts, Dobbins, Tolle, Early, Sandlin, Perales, Clarke, Witherspoon, & Song. I think you'll see an effort to trade for, then sign Joe Ryan to a long term deal. IMO Pete Alonzo is not a good fit. Casas and Gonzales should hold down this corner. Twins can get a solid package back for Ryan Using the players above and maybe a 1 from a Crawford, Houck, Bello group, and another young arm, plus both an inf and outfield stud.

Nathaniel is a Gold Glove 1b, Silver Slugger Winning World Champion 1st off, so going from Washington to Fenway is like traveling from your backyard pool to Bora Bora. And he's played solid baseball for 5 years running, and this backyard pool slump appears to be all that has occured here. Consider the poolyard blues over. Onward to capturing another ring aye Nathaniel!?

Think Ted Williams with "The Gladiator" it's just a matter of time and ABs/Reps but this kid is a generational player. Ted Williams is my comp pick. Those 2 mentioned aren't going to hold his jock strap.- 12 comments

Look, at some.point we keep records and stats to look upon as a measure of results based performance. The ONLY thing that matters and leads to change in results is know how. It's time to face faces. The 2018 club required very little managerial prowess to manage. That's a fact. Outside of that Cora has failed to obtain a championship. That's what the measuring stick needs to be...missing the playoffs 5 of the last 6 years is inexcusable. AC's in game mgmt is just not what it needs to be. PERIOD! Leaving SPs in on multiple occasions to rack up 11 earned runs in under 3ip is grotesque and horrendous for the player. Pitching to cleanup hitters with 1st base to give setting up a must have DP scenario or even just bypassing the competitions best hitter...all baseball 101...selection of which player for which scenario has been abysmal. He just doesn't have it. Boston won't ever seen something like 4 rings in 5 years or even back to back with Alex Cora if he ever had a second 2018 team again anyway. You need a guy from NY to know how the Yankees did that...Hire me and I'll prove it by commission. I get paid zero unless we make the playoffs and advance once there. I've watched twice the baseball games AC has in life and all Redsox games for over 35 years. The players are already there enough to win. The selection and configuration is wrong and not maximized. Just let me do it John Henry. Room and Board until the playoffs. Then you'll pay me when you get your hardware. Put up or shut up I say... it's the only way.
