    how much money has he taken in? is he subsidizing this team out of his own pocket or is he stuffing them?

    that's the way i see it. to me, he's not the boy genius he was made out to be. he's just your average guy making a few good moves and a few bad moves that about any GM could have made. nothing special. after nearly four years, i'm just...disappointed.

    it might also be worth pointing out that all four of the championship teams (2004, 2007, 2013, 2018) had "future hall of famers, all-stars and young studs".

    i remember those days. and i remember drinking beer with him after a game in Arlington too. barely. those three years sucked but they did finish first the year after he left.

    a last place .500 team with no hope of making the playoffs. maybe Bloom can do something to improve the team for next year but after watching him the last few years, i seriously have my doubts. i'd love to be wrong though.

    same here. i've been a diehard fan since i was a kid in 1975 and i don't think i've ever been so down and disgusted with the organization.

    you make good points about Nate and Wacha but this is inconsistent with his signing of Paxton. who he paid $6 million to pitch 0 innings last year.

    well...he didn't have any errors or passed balls so i was giving him the benefit of the doubt.

    he is now 1 for 20 in his MLB career, with sixteen strikeouts. ouch. but he did a nice job behind the plate today.

    it seems like we have a never-ending parade of injuries. i'm sure other teams probably have just as many, but i don't keep up with other teams. sucks seeing Paxton go out. with him on the mound, i was counting this game as a win.
