  1. Agree. Last night, and now this? Colorado is about to steal two games.
  2. Cora leaving ERod in one batter too long tonight.
  3. As bad as Hembree has been.. he is merely Poyner's apprentice. If you wanna have fun watching batting practice, he's your man.
  4. Hey all! Hope this team can get it together today and squeak out a victory. Checking the scores has been pretty scary so far this year. GO RED SOX!
  5. That would have been interesting.
  6. The Nats now have $525 million invested in Max Scherzer ($210 million), Stephen Strasburg ($175 million) and Patrick Corbin ($140 million) in the front end of their starting rotation. Corbin is good but after checking his numbers, the Nats overpaid.. In six seasons, he has yet to record an ERA below 3.15 and he's 28 years old. Is there any word on Joe Kelly yet? If Kimbrel walks, he walks.. I'd love to resign Eovaldi and add Andrew Miller if possible.
  7. Ha! I almost forgot about my Wally the Green Monster foldable pillow. Gangsta!
  8. Some badass collections guys.. nice!
  9. I’m taking the family to Fenway Park from LA in April... definitely going to frame the stubs and add them to the mini shrine. Ha!
  10. Ha! Good call.. yes I just checked and it was Mueller. One of the sweetest reg season wins that I can recall.
  11. Yep.. he knew how to call a game too. Good scrappy player behind the plate. I miss him.
  12. Let's have a fun thread about just how many things Red Sox you own. Are you obsessive about Jerseys? Office stuff? Hats? etc.... I don't consider myself obsessive at all but looking around the apartment I have accumulated a thing or two. 4 Jerseys (Ortiz, Yastrzemski, Varitek, Martinez) A few Wally the Green Monster plush toys (home and office) A few pennant flags (home and office) A little replica of Fenway Park A throwback vintage style bobblehead Two t-shirts Three New Era hats.. (I typically have the fitted Sox and the standard A handful of actual red socks. I don't have any actual memorabilia.. although a signed ball would be nice. What about you?
  13. I dunno if I would file him as "under the radar" since he was captain and all but Jason Varitek hit some big home runs in the post season. And who can forget the incident with A-Roid. Probably too well known and celebrated to be mentioned in a thread like this but what the heck.. he's one of my favorite Red Sox.
  14. The Mariners make the Mets look like the Red Sox.
  15. Not sure if this has been discussed on here yet but.. David Robertson is available and wants to play in and around the New England area. The Red Sox should kick the tires on this at the very least.
  16. I don't think he gets a lot of heat for that. Cub fans blamed Steve Bartman. And yes.. Steve did play a role in that disastrous inning.
  17. ..and for all his Babe Ruth style heroics at the plate.. Daniel Murphy made two errors for the Mets in two straight World Series games vs the Royals.. The Mets had them on the ropes too.. For all the talk about Durham and Buckner... Murphy's two World Series errors may be the worst of all. It's just awkward because he was a beast at the plate throughout that entire post season.
  18. Oh yes.. terrible play. I think he kinda short armed the ball. An error in extra innings of a game seven.. yikes. Good luck getting to sleep after a play like that.
  19. This. This team was just too good to let that define them.. and it was an absolute ridiculous play that infuriated me at the time. It looked like he overran the ball, got his legs twisted and flung the ball about five yards wide. I don't understand how a major league player throws a baseball that wide of the mark. It's a nasty error which lead to a bad loss in the longest World Series game ever played. Is it on Durham's or Buckner's level?? Not even in the same building.
  20. Man I remember Albert Belle.. putting aside the fact that he was one of the best hitters of all time, the guy was ruthless.. throwing forearms to break up double plays, etc.. the rules were a bit different back then though. I will say that I would want Albert Belle on my team seven days a week.. the fielding was suspect but the man struck fear in opposing pitchers.. I don't remember him stepping on other players ankles though.. and this was back in the 90s.
  21. What a ball club!!! Champs baby!!! So many heroes man.. Eovaldi, Sale, JD, Price, Cora, Betts, Pearce, Benintendi, Holt... this team made plays when they really needed to... that’s why they are champions! RED SOX NATION is as strong and united as ever!
  22. Machado needs to get drilled the first chance we have next season.. I love that he struck out and slipped to make the final out. Revenge is sweet!!!
  23. This post is too early man... the champagne is still flowin’! CHAMPS BABYYYY!!!!!
  24. I live in LA too.... man this feels good!!!! What a ball club!!! CHAMPS BABY!!!!!
  25. Amazing team! AMAZING!!! They beat up on the Skanks, the Astros and the Dodgers to win it all!!!!! They weren’t even stretched much!!!! One of the best teams in MLB history!!!!!! I LOVE MY RED SOX!!!! WOOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!!!
