  1. They put up 6. I can live with that.
  2. No visit to the mound until 6-0 multiple walks, hits,an error, a grand slam, more hits after that.. Dusty might just say fvck it and throw the game??
  3. Uhm… gentlemen?? It’s 6-0 Red Sox in the second.. your thoughts??? Hee hee
  4. True. It does get sort of mind numbing to keep hearing all the Mookie Betts, Kike and Verdugo crap..
  5. The Fenway fans, Fenway Park itself, the weather, the water, the food.. JUST WIN BABY!
  6. That is amazing. You were at a ball park in the 1950s watching baseball. We should start a new thread and talk about some of the nuances of baseball back then compared to today. I read a few books but nothing replaces being there. BTW.. if anyone wants to recommend a great baseball book I am all ears but this is a topic for another thread. I managed to pick up a great coffee table book recently that compares today's ball parks to the lost ones. Shibe, Ebbets, Polo Grounds, etc... man... looking at some of the photos at these places is something else. People sitting on wooden fences watching post season ball.. people on roof tops across from Shibe Park. I hate that only two of these shrines remain. Fenway & Wrigley. Some People wanna lump Dodger Stadium in there. I've been there.. it's a nice stadium but come on.
  7. He is treated like a big star out in LA. He needed to do better there. Either snag it or knock it down. That was the ball game. I wouldn't give him an error there but it wasn't a good play either. Far from it. Long story short.. the Braves are up two games to none and smell blood. Hopefully the Dodgers bounce back because if they don't it would make for a boring NLCS.. if you can call two back to back walk off victories boring.. maybe not. I'm happy for the Braves though. It's cool to root for the underdog, unless they play against the Red SoX.
  8. He has no choice. He has to pitch well or else he will be booed off the field.. and why upset the fans? Makes no sense. Got my fingers crossed.. Go SoX!
  9. Definitely! I saw some of that game and it was tense throughout.. and what an ending! The Braves went 40-20 down the stretch. They are a pain in the behind to play. I wouldn’t even be surprised if that series ended in five games at this point.
  10. I lost interest in basketball in the early 90s. Just don’t care about it. Magic retired, Bird, Thomas, Barkley etc.. I can’t remember the last time I even caught a glimpse of a game. Not for me.
  11. They’re out for revenge. They deserve more respect than they get. The Dodgers are the ones with the 200 mill pay roll.
  12. Braves up 2-0 in the series. The Dodgers have their hands full.. they can’t hit.
  13. The Dodgers have not been impressive vS the Braves so far.
  14. Arroyo needs to get it together. He made a nice grab and throw at the end of game two but he’s been bouncing the baseball on routine plays to first that have no business being nice plays by Schwarber. It’s an error waiting to happen and I’m tired of Schwarber having to bail him out. You can only get away with crap plays like that for so long.
  15. Again.. the tying run never even got to the plate. The Astros should have been nervous in game one because they won by the skin of their teeth.
  16. Well the Dodgers made some mistakes tonight and lost 3-2. Turner got caught in a rundown in the 9th to end the inning and the Braves walked it off. So much for the Dodgers just cruising like everyone says.
  17. We were up six to start the inning. He gave up two runs and we still won 9-5 so what was there to worry about? The tying run never even came up to the plate so why the nerves?
  18. And just like that we are all tied up 1-1 headed back to Boston. Fenway Park is ready to rock!
  19. Like I said… in the bag all tied 1-1 headed back to Boston. Lights out until game three. Later fellas.. GO SoX!
  20. It’s still a four run lead.. who cares. The game is in the bag.
  21. So this B is all tied 1-1 headed to Fenway Park. I’m feeling good about our chances.
  22. One of the very greatest to ever do it.
  23. Devers looks like he has tennis elbow… that’s a serious pain in the ass to deal with. I had it and wasn’t myself for four freakin’ months.
