  1. And if he doesn’t, the pen will. God forbid our pitching dominates a game.
  2. Ok you managed to contradict yourself via one post. It doesn’t matter though.. you know why? Because none of our starters are getting the job done. They fail the eye test, stat test.. and whatever other kinda test you wanna use as a measuring stick. Plenty of Facebook group fans are still optimistic. They still call anyone who dares to criticize the team as a fake fan or a troll. It’s ridiculous. I’ll never understand a fan who refuses to see what is right in front of them.
  3. I’m tired of hearing that this is still a playoff team. Just stop this nonsense. Zero pitching... ZERO!
  4. This game is like watching the 80s Showtime LA Lakers vS the Boston Celtics. Not much defense... basically who can score 125-130 first.
  5. Let the hit parade begin. Should be a nice 3-1 or 2-0 game, NOT.
  6. What’s the use of scoring 10 runs if your pitching staff gives up 12.. freakin twilight zone of a staff this season.
  7. I’m throwing in the towel.. officially. Just zero pitching from this club. Dombrowski was keen on it. What’s the point in giving up prospects in order to get an arm or two for the pen this season? Bunch of veteran pitchers who can’t get it done. It’s only a matter of time until the “next year” commentary starts to surface. This team has quite a bit of work to do to get itself right. I wouldn’t mind seeing LeVangie canned soon.
  8. Lol... this pitching.. you can’t help but laugh at this point.
  9. Working late over here so I'm unable to watch the game. I just checked the score now. Patiently waiting for the NHL and NFL to start up again.
  10. This team needs a nice little 5-6 game win streak to really get going. 15 games over .500 should be a short term goal at this point. Hidden in that are Sale, Price & Porcello doing their job. Hopefully this team won't fizzle out thus we will have a nerve-racking September. The way we have played in 2019.. I hope to be pleasantly surprised come October. GO SOX!
  11. I can’t recall this potent of an offense coupled with a pitching staff who performed this poorly.
  12. I think he was. But that’s not to say that he can’t have a poor year following a WS win. It isn’t easy to zero in on the issue from outside the organization but you have to at least partially blame him for this years struggles can’t you?
  13. Some comments from Dave after this game concludes would be interesting. You can’t find a cure for the entire pitching staff just like that. The more I think about it, the more it made sense for this team to stay as is. Just not competitive enough.
  14. Oh no no.. I am in full agreement with you. I was saying that pitching coaches actually do help players make adjustments and the like on a MLB level. It gets mentioned pretty consistently.. especially during post season broadcasts when every little thing is magnified.
  15. So what you are saying is that he is completely useless. Just getting paid to shoot the s*** in the dugout and bull pen since he can’t even suggest or present tweaking certain pitching mechanics etc.. the truth is that the coaches do that at the major league level. It happens all the time hence, it is commented on during broadcasts.
  16. For all our struggles with the pen.. this kid Taylor has some fight in him.
  17. Big at bat for Beni here...
  18. That’s fair but where are the adjustments for the pitchers that are struggling? All of these guys are talented and capable of pitching well but they just aren’t. I think that there is enough blame to go around.. LeVangie included.
  19. Just look at the results. The guy is actually getting paid for this.
  20. This is getting really ugly fellas.
  21. I don’t think that this years SOX have the pitching to contend. The starters and relievers both. Way too many runs allowed. All of us keep watching and waiting for a turn around but the moment you think it is happening.. they crap the bed again. At some point we have to accept the fact they really just are the team that we are watching in 2019. There is no magical improvement happening via osmosis.
  22. This sucks. It’s really does. Porcello with his head down in the dugout.. I feel bad for the guy but at the same time he has to be better. This entire pitching staff is in shambles. That last bad start by Sale just left a bad taste in my mouth. It may be a start that we point back to.. a breaking point perhaps. Remember that pep talk that Chris gave the team in the dugout during the World Series? Feel like an eternity ago. At what point do you look at the pitching coaches??? I don’t know.
  23. Porcello gunna go break a few more monitors now? Man o man... brutal.
  24. Yeah.. maybe he should have just stayed in the dugout for the rest of the game.
