  1. Yep. That would have taken a little pressure off the offense. At this point everyone is pressing and it shows.
  2. Another hard hit ball.. caught. Goddamn.
  3. I think that it’s a combination of some tough luck too. Plenty of hard hit baseballs last night but in the wrong places.
  4. #17 sure kept the Nats in the ballgame last night.. had like three or four great grabs.
  5. Mr. H is slingin’ it so far.
  6. The guy hit the ball hard. Jeez.
  7. I put that game in and am gunna watch a few more innings. The Mariners broadcast is so amped that they are legit screaming when the Mariners hit singles with nobody on. I’m happy for them.
  8. It’s gunna be a dog fight. This team is not firing on all cylinders right now. Not even close.
  9. Turned out to be a good night. GO SOX!!
  10. Start spreading the news.. they’re overrated.
  11. That’s game!
  12. That’s criminal activity, not sports. Big difference. But again.. both pitchers and hitters juiced during that era. Whatever. Jim Leyritz juiced.. he also hit a three run homer vs the Braves to bring the Skanks back to life in the World Series in ‘96. MLB isn’t about to take rings away. Flags and banners keep flying… proudly. But again.. the Hall of fame is nothing but a popularity and likability contest. What about all the players that juiced but still sucked? Manny Ramirez hit how many post season home runs?? How come everyone didn’t hit as well as him? What about the players who weren’t caught but who have great numbers during that era? Should they just be automatic hall of famers? Whatever..
  13. Most of these athletes are. I met John Elway.. I wish I hadn’t. There are many stories about Michael Jordan that turn your stomach. Magic Johnson actually seems to be a nice person.
  14. Thank God these have been solo shots.
  15. That’s fine.. many people agree with you but Bonds and Clemens were hall of fame players before the steroid era began. Another thing to consider is that pitchers used roids too.. so it’s a wash. Another Thing to consider is that many players used, but weren’t caught. Griffey had rumors about him. His numbers fall exactly in line with the steroid era.. he had ridiculous injuries like pulling hamstrings from literally jogging to second base as a Cincinnati Red. This whole steroid debate is not black and white. I agree that McGwire and Sosa should not be let in. But Bonds had 9 gold gloves and 500 home runs under his belt before he decided to use. Clemens was a monster for us. To me.. the biggest a-hole was A-Roid. He actually hired people to threaten witnesses and tried to sue his provider. Dude was unreal.
  16. Hopefully the Rays can hold on. 2-1 in the 8th.
  17. :::facepalm::: neither will Schilling.. a guy with the best strikeout to walk ratio in the modern era and a 11-2 post season record. The Hall of fame is a popularity contest. Mazeroski is a hall of famer for one play. It’s a charade just like the Academy Awards.
  18. Lol.. I just got flashbacks of Slammin’ Say it ain’t so Sosa’s response to a reporter when asked about roids.. “what are you my fadder??” Not only did Sammy love juice but he also loved champagne with that corked bat.
  19. It’s an amazing 18 game stretch. Comparing him to Bonds is silly.
  20. hopefully 2 runs will be enough.
  21. Bonds stole over 500 bases and won 9 gold gloves. He also has the most walks in MLB history and struck out 100 times in a season once. That’s pretty unique dude.
  22. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Aaron Judge is at least 1/3 horse.
  23. You gotta be kidding me with that catch.
  24. Every pitcher needs Tommy John twice. It’s the law.
  25. That was as bad a swing as you will ever see in the big leagues.
