Note that Porcello lost the strike zone that inning and was way high on most pitches. Barnes needs to shut Altuve down.
-
When it goes, it goes quick. Was Cora ready ??
-
Porcello has completewly lost it in the 7th. pull him quick
-
Key inning right here. Sox hitters no longer intetrested, ready to shower and leave.
-
Thinking Swihart was actually safe with his foot in but likely came off the base. Cora being aggressive as advertised.
-
So right, 12 more outs to get and there are some guys in that pen that might choke on that, only 1 or 2 though.
-
Swihart uses the mound as a launch ramp to send a 7-0 (was) Charlie Morton straight to hell. As mentioned earlier, when the bottom of the lineup makes some contact it changes the game. Sorry, JBJr you are not part of that conversation yet. Pedey, take your time and get the knee calmed down. Brock Holt's got your back.
-
Nothing wrong with Boston centric, it's just not ESPN's preferred outcome. If you are not LeBron you don't count
-
j b F bradley Jr will never hit with that long swing. He truly sucks at the plate
-
I'm in SoCal too and if you want to hear some crappy play by play try Terry Smith of the Angels. Not sure he knows where the game is taking place.
-
And that demographic is not about baseball , it's basketball, and not Boston centric.
-
Porcello is the new Ace !. I only hope Sale, Price, Rodriguez see the benefit of throwing a lot of strikes with some movement on them.
-
Leon and Bogaerts pretty much suck right now, Benintendi not so much. Thanks for the run Andrew.
-
Glad Rick is on my network and follows directions. Good inning featuring a lot of STRIKES
-
Porcello needs a 1-2-3 inning to keep the lead safe.
-
If JBJr could bunt, which he has proven he cannot do, he may have some marginal value at the plate. As it is he is a defensive specialist on a team with 3 other sub .200 hitters. That missed opportunity inning will cost them.
-
Cora says you have to be aggressive and put pressure on the opponent. I looked up aggressive, but didn't see stupid as a synonym.
-
That was another clean up job by Rick P. Maybe this is his night. Pitch count is low for having to work out of each inning. Lots of first pitch strikes is often the key to winning the individual battles and Rick has that going on. Seeing Altuve go down twice is a treat. Third time around, not so sure what will happen.
-
X single handedly erased his rare double.
-
xander F bogaerts
-
Maybe Rick could just walk the leadoff man next inning and save a base or 3. He did pitch his way out of the leadoff double though with no damage. How do the Astros have a back up catcher hitting in the .280's with .315 over the last several games.? Our 3 combined , including Swihart aren't a cumulative .600
-
And Sam Travis who could possibly be Swihart's replacement was hitting low .200's in Pawtucket before tthe call up.
-
Changes the game and helps a lot when the bottom of the lineup doesn't go 3 for K's. Looks like Morton woke up.
-
On the other hand, guys like Porcello drive you crazy . Does exactly the wrong thing. Long game in front of us tonight
-
Gotta love players like Moreland who made the day with that 2 out, 2 run shot. Also they ran Morton's pitch count up to 28 so he may not last as long as the Astros were hoping. What's the deal with Bogaerts hitting low .200's since May 1 ? Hot start, DL, can't even move Benintendi up after his lead off double. Now just let Porcello go on cruise control and this one is over, we wish.
