  1. Manaea mania comes to an end.
  2. Man O Manaea; that's gonna leave a deep scratch on his ERA.
  3. My take on the SOX at this point is that the offense will come around(too many proven hitters), the starting pitching has been, for the most part, good(imho, better than expected) although I'd like to see more 6 innings starts. The defense is good enough. The major concern from my perspective is the BP. Getting from the 6th inning to Barnes has been tough, however I believe that more 6 inning starts would improve the BP. IOW, with 124 games remaining I still see this team as PO competitive.
  4. It's still too early to see any patterns yet, but your point is well taken.
  5. After the more than a year of what we've had to deal with, SOX baseball not being life or death has never been more accurate.
  6. If MLB's biggest concern is shortening the time of the games, well, lately, the SOX offense has done its share in achieving that.
  7. Are you saying you won't be deceived again if the SOX go on another long winning streak? I have admitted that I will get fooled again.
  8. I know we're in trouble when MAX starts quoting me.
  9. I'm waiting for him to start frisking the batters before they go to the plate.
  10. The only thing I could count on was that the SOX always score a lot of runs when E-Rod starts. I just hope that tradition continues, although it's getting late early.
  11. I blame that 9 game winning streak for being deceived. But I will get fooled again.
  12. 10 people love E-Rod's change-up. E-Rod and the A's line-up.
  13. Tommy was exciting. And I guarantee you no one called him Tom.
  14. I can only imagine how he was treated by Yawkey.
  15. Reggie and his family were not treated very well in Boston. He wanted to leave.
  16. This is looking like Bassit, The Sequel.
  17. Another SOX outfielder who had a terrific arm was Reggie Smith. Sandy Koufax was quoted as saying he was jealous of Reggie's arm.
  18. It was said that Teddy Ballgame never argued with the HP chUMP on a bad call. He would just glance at him. I wonder how Ted would react if the umpiring was as putrid then as it is now?
  19. The HP umps are the ones in MLB who should be ejected.
  20. I'm still convinced the SOX will score at least 5 runs.
  21. E-Rod is a perfect example of not just employing a pitcher's W/L record when evaluating his strengths and weaknesses. In fact, W/L may be the most deceiving of all pitcher stats.
