  1. I mentioned yesterday that the SOX normal line-up from 1-6 is very, very good.
  2. Ted would have been the perfect DH, and he would have loved it.
  3. Palmer complaining that this game isn't fair because the SOX played a day game and the O's played a night game yesterday. What a moron.
  4. I'm receiving the game on the O's network. Unfortunately, Jim Palmer is in the booth. He really is terrible. Boring to the 100th degree.
  5. The 2 positions I was referring to in regards to a weak bat are SS and catcher.
  6. When was Ted ever below average with the bat?
  7. E-rod starts, SOX score 7(so far). Some things never change.
  8. You're welcome and keep up the good work with Groundhog day OP's.
  9. There are only 2 non-pitching positions in baseball where if a player is great defensively and below average with the bat, he will remain in the line-up. Unfortunately for Dalbec 1st base isn't one of them.
  10. He thought the wild pitch was further from the plate than it actually was, so he was caught in a rundown between 3rd and home.
  11. Whit is smooth on the mound. No unnecessary motions. Throws an easy 96 and has a nice back-up change. I think the SOX should keep him.
  12. Not all BL's make that adjustment. The SOX aren't built for hitting a ton of HR's. They can make up for that by just keeping the line moving.
  13. Again, going with the pitch. Gotta love it.
  14. 1st base is open, so instead of throwing a slider or curve low and outside to JD, the pitcher throws a FB down the middle. Do the pitchers and /or catchers actually pay attention?
  15. 4 of Verdugo's 5 hits this year have been doubles.
  16. Dalbec definitely has a major league glove; hopefully, he'll develop a major league bat.
  17. I like how many of the SOX batters are going with the pitch as of late.
  18. That great defensive play by Devers in the 1st looms large.
  19. E-rod made a couple of mistakes and paid dearly. Imho, the BIG difference between a great pitcher and a good pitcher is that a great pitcher gets away with more mistakes.
  20. Some things never change. Check out my post on JD.
  21. I wonder if hypnosis would cure JD from going after the low outside pitch? It's definitely his Kryptonite.
  22. Hopefully, Cora doesn't 'baby' X-man too much this year. SOX can't afford his bat and glove out of the line-up.
  23. One thing about E-rod is that the SOX tend to score a lot of runs when he starts.
  24. Home plate umpiring is at the same pathetic level as NHL refereeing.
