Maybe I can shame Romy into getting a hit. It's worked on other role players.
  2. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Wong did hit a homer last night, so he's way ahead of Romy.
  3. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Three hits and no runs. Let us return to those thrilling days of April and May. The Lone Ranger Suarez rides again.
  4. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
And Mono just continues to make good contact.
  5. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    That's a very disinterested swing.
  6. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Let's just say I hope Sandoval isn't Paxton, the sequel.
  7. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    Patience is a virtue.

"It's deja vu all over again."
  9. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
It'll be my job to notify this forum when Abreu gets hot again.
  10. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
At this point I have as much faith in Sandoval as I did a few years ago in Paxton.
  11. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Similar to when he traded for Mead.
  12. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I haven't seen his name mentioned in trade talks, which probably means Brez is trying to get him.
  13. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I understand. Why have a contact hitter DH when you can have a non-contact batter DH.
  14. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Obviously, Chad didn't agree with my suggestion of Masa being the everyday DH.
  15. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    Slugger. Singular.
  16. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
This rag arm may be the worst starter the Sox have faced all season.
  17. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Wouldn't that also apply to Arias?
  18. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
I doubt Brez was anticipating much offense from IKF.
  19. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
My mistake. He wouldn't be a rental.
  20. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
My bad. I just read the part regarding his one year contract. So that makes a trade much more interesting.
  21. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
He's being paid 860,000 bucks on a one year contract. Talk about bang for the buck.
  22. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Actually, Anthony, Mayer and Story have failed.
  23. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
    He would be a rental
  24. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Would you include Arias in a trade for the Marlins' SS Otto Lopez, who is leading the NL in BA and doubles?
  25. SPLENDIDSPLINTER
Alonso is a very good defensive 1st baseman, who made it clear that he didn't want to DH. So, I guess we do know.
