  1. Based on Team BA and Runs scored, these two teams are almost identical.
  2. Just did some offensive calculations for this season as of today. The combined BA's of Devers, JD, and Bogie calculate to .334. (407 AB's/136 HITS) The combined BA's of everyone else who's batted for the SOX calculate to .190. (848 AB's/161 HITS) The 4th highest BA on the SOX with 40 or more at bats belongs to VAZ at .225.
  3. That Hill has made 78 consecutive starts w/o giving up more than 3 runs is simply amazing.
  4. The SOX starting pitching taken as a whole so far this season has been much better than I expected. And I'm quite sure many here feel the same way. The BP, however, except for a few arms, has been, for lack of a better word, disappointing.
  5. Michael Wacha, who was the SOX "ACE" before his injury, may make a start this weekend against Seattle.
  6. Nick's last 3 starts: 22 innings 10 hits 2 runs.
  7. Awesome performance by Pivetta and pitching 9 innings is as rare as a pregnant panda.
  8. Nick didn't tip his cap. He wants to finish this one.
  9. Just realized that Nick wears the same number as the great Bergeron.
  10. Sadly, it appears JD's hit streak is over, but it took a great catch to end it.
  11. Btw, I believe the player who leads the league in pop-outs at the end of the season is honored with a silver fungo bat.
  12. You've got to earn your nickname in sports.
  13. I seriously doubt many starters so far this season have had back-to-back 7 inning starts. In fact, Pivetta's pitch count is unbelievably low. I still don't know if Pivetta's a good pitcher or just average, but he's been very impressive of late.
  14. One thing about baseball over other team sports. A player can bring his baby with him on the mound and a player can wear his entire jewelry collection while playing.
  15. West never moved away from his bad decisions; in fact, Joe didn't move at all.
  16. Like or don't like Al Tuve, but I thought he was really good in Game of Thrones.
  17. Well, Vegas, if there's a Hell of Shame for chUMPIRES, those two should definitely be in it.
  18. Damn, I'm gonns miss Garcia and his baby not being on the mound.
  19. The same pitch he was called out with his 1st at bat was called a ball his 2nd at bat.
  20. This will be the 18th time in 37 games where the SOX have scored more than 4 runs.
  21. Blowing the game wide open hasn't really been part of the SOX offense so far this season.
  22. I could picture Devers becoming the 2nd highest paid everyday player in baseball no matter what team he ends up with.
  23. He is amazing. Swing hard, Raffy, because you'll probably hit it.
  24. Since last night Devers has a single, 2 doubles, a triple and a HR. Hit for the cycle tonight, Raffy.
  25. DEVERS DEliVERS! Kike on 1st didn't affect Devers at all.
