  1. The offense will be fine; I worry more about the pitching as the season progresses. I remember in the 1967 season the Cardinals had, perhaps, one of the worst offenses since post war baseball. They ended up beating the SOX in the WS. It's usually good pitching and defense that gets a team to the promised land.
  2. All the AL west teams have lost tonight. Seattle's the only hope.
  3. One can never have enough s***** chUMPIRING behind the plate.
  4. What's wrong with pitching winning games? Is that a new concept?
  5. The M's announcers were so close to an orgasm.
  6. The history of the SOX on the west coast isn't filled with a lot of offensive games. But it isn't also filled with 6 wins in 7 games, so far.
  7. A hanger right in his wheelhouse. Throw enough curves and a few will hang. Similar to a knuckle ball that doesn't knuckle.
  8. I've described Story as the new Napoli for the SOX. Not a bad thing, because the SOX did win the WS with Naps in 2013.
  9. Third streak to be broken involving the SOX these last two nights.
  10. I was just hoping the M's FO wouldn't be aware of that. How do you feel about Cordero's long HR's and Arroyo's beard?
  11. Looks like that day off did Devers a lot of good. I guess he was due for a little slump. I just hope it's little. Not Story like.
  12. Selling points: Dalbec can throw the leather at 1st; Franchy, when he hits HR's, they go far, and Arroyo, well he has a nice beard. If you agree to this trade in the next 48 hours, as a bonus the SOX will throw in ace reliever Bra Man.
  13. Last night the SOX had an excuse for not producing, Ohtani. No excuse tonight. The SOX offense of late bringing back bad memories of April.
  14. Any chance the M's would trade France for Dalbec, Franchy, and Arroyo? Hey, M's, you'll be getting a Franchy for a France.
  15. Hill reminds me of Wakefield. They live or die on their one pitch.
  16. I'm pretty sure that missed opportunity will come back to haunt us.
  17. Double double, toil and trouble.
  18. JD's on a pace to drive in 65 runs this season.
  19. Getting the Seattle feed where the announcer informed me that Seattle will be playing the Boston Celtics. Can't wait to get back to NESN.
  20. I'm guessing the delay in presenting the SOX line-up is determining if Bogey is healthy enough to play. Of course, it could be that Cora is still looking for someone to rest.
  21. They'll even be more fortunate because they have Seattle next for 3 games. Not saying that Seattle will be easy, but they do have a losing record. I do believe that Seattle will end the season ahead of the Angels. Note: My predictions are correct about 20% of the time.
  22. That Bra Man and Sawamura are still in the SOX BP confirms there is nothing better available at this time down on the farm, which probably shouldn't surprise anyone.
  23. Pivetta didn't pitch that bad. He made one mistake to the Angels best batter in the line-up. The Angels' offense under normal conditions is bad, but with both Trout and Ward not playing, their offense is laughable.
  24. I'm predicting he gets re-signed by the Angels. He's a big draw. Plus, it's great to play baseball and make millions in a pressure-free environment.
