  1. Hosmer: "Hey, Alex how come you didn't let me pinch hit?" Cora: "This was your scheduled day of rest." Hosmer: "What the hell is that?" Cora: "Just something i like to do."
  2. There's really no player on this team I hate, but there is a manager I'm disliking more and more.
  3. Didn't see that coming, but shouldn't be surprised. SOX have made a season of this s***. Btw, why wasn't Hosmer pinch hitting in the top of the 9th? Was Hosmer actually being platooned with Dalbec or was this a Cora scheduled day of rest?
  4. The Cards won it all in 2006 after finishing the season 5 games over .500. Once you're in the POs' sometimes anything could happen, obviously.
  5. One glaring hint when a batter knows he is going bad is he will sprint to 1st base on ball 4.
  6. I predicted earlier this season that Dugo would finish the season with a BA somewhere around .280-.285. That may be the only prediction I might get right.
  7. Everything we've posted hinges on Hosmer staying and that certainly isn't a sure thing.
  8. I mentioned Hosmer as the main DH, but, hell, the SOX could go DH by committee.
  9. If Hosmer stays then the SOX, imho, should not make going after a DH a priority. They've got more important holes to fix that will cost money.
  10. So the SOX keep Hosmer for next season for almost free if I'm reading you right. In that case I could see Casas and Dalbec platooning at 1st and Hosmer as the main DH, I guess. It's definitely beyond my pay grade.
  11. My bad. I thought it was only for this year. Things were much easier during the dinosaur age when most players were on one year contracts.
  12. If the SOX FO believes Casas is going to be at 1st base starting next season, I believe they will keep Dalbec and not pursue signing Hosmer.
  13. Good point about Casas. I forgot about him.
  14. That's a good question and may depend on what the SOX do with Hosmer.
  15. Dugo is 1st LH hitter to homer against Lynch this season.
  16. Obviously, EO isn't 100%. His velocity is down by 2mph, but it is what it is. No one will ever accuse EO of not being gritty.
  17. Bobby isn't short on power. The SOX may have not corrected other problems, but 1st base looks taken care of.
  18. No problem, Big Papi. I was definitely not trying to be offensive.
  19. Bobby Dee! Lynch's splits are unbelievable. LH's BA .196; RH's .296. Only LH pitcher in MLB not to give up a homer to LH batter.
  20. I was just attempting to fit EO into something. Anyway, since when has adios amigo been offensive? Unbelievable.
  21. Well, there are much too many teams.
  22. Could have been worse, but, then again, it is the Royals.
