  1. Leadoff doubles continue to be a problem. They have to stop doing that.
  2. In this Sox lineup which batter do you most anticipate coming to the plate? 'No one' is an acceptable answer.
  3. Good idea by Masa to try to knock their starter out of the game.
  4. I was being mostly sarcastic. When a team scores zero runs, it's really unimportant how many the other team scores. But thanks for the info anyway.
  5. My math tells me the Sox have played 23 games where the offence has scored 1 or less runs. That's 2 games more than when they score 10 or more runs. I guess calling the Sox offense inconsistent is the nicest thing one can say.
  6. Nelson has a 3.57ERA and a 1.05WHIP. Unlike the previous two Arizona starters he has good numbers. If he just throws the ball overhand, he'll be tough for the Sox inoffensive offense.
  7. According to the GT the Sox are playing the Angels today, so that may be a break for the Sox.
  8. Unfortunately, it was the tire with the most tread left on it.
  9. As Cora rearranges the deck chairs, there's a shortage of life rafts. Don't panic, this Sox ship will paddle into the PO's and then immediately sink. Season ticket holders and children first.
  10. The only way I'd watch tennis would require a Clockwork Orange type of eye opener instrument hooked up to me while being tied to a chair.
  11. If Seattle gets hot, the Sox are done. The injuries have finally caught up with this team. Injuries are part of baseball, but the Sox bring it to another level. More bubble wrap next season.
  12. But this Sox team still may be able to back into the PO's. No excuse to score 2 total runs in 12 innings against two disgustingly bad starters.
  13. It should end up in the top 5 defensive plays of the season.
  14. Don't lose your glove. I was told that a lot when I played HS baseball.
