    Btw, Vlad Jr's 471 foot homer last night wasn't the longest this season. Ohtani hit one 476 feet last Tuesday. But it was in Colorado.

    Speaking of a quality start; it is defined by MLB, at the minimum, giving up 3 earned runs after pitching 6 full innings. So if that's the definition of a 'quality start,' wouldn't it follow that a 4.50 ERA is a quality ERA?

    Gausman(RH) vs Bello Duran(CF) Valdez Abreu Devers O'Neill Masa(DH) Smith McGuire Rafaela(SS) Gausman can be tough. Bello needs a quality start tonight. Go SOX!

    I was referring to the managers, not the players themselves. And now that it doesn't determine which team gets home field advantage in the WS ( a really stupid thing) it is a meaningless game.

    No doubt, the AS game is a showcase for players like Houck, Duran and Wong, who are probably unknown to most non-SOX fans.

    Jansen is also 3-1 with his win tonight.

    To me the best thing about the AS game is the break itself. I usually don't even watch it. However, if Duran and Houck are involved, I will watch it until they're no longer in the game.

    Jansen's stats: 15 saves with only one blown save. 2.30 ERA. 1.04 WHIP.

    The AS manager picks the pitchers, so Houck s/b a shoe-in.

    Personally, I hope he's not. It would be to his and the SOX advantage if he just rested during the All Star break.
