  1. Evaluating this Twins team over these last 3 games, IMHO, they're closer to a 7-13 team than a 12-0 team.
  2. Funderburk. For discreet wine drinkers who can't afford Thunderbird.
  3. Nice poke by Grissom. Where have the Twins been hiding this Funderburk?
  4. Funderburk. Sounds like a character from CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM.
  5. I also remember how badly Devers finished the last month of last season.
  6. Would Rafaela's bunt be considered a sacrifice or a time at bat? I would rule it not a sacrifice.
  7. Devers is still young at 27, but is it remotely possible his best years are behind him? I certainly hope not, but either way, he's gonna be one rich SOB. Long-term contracts. Who wouldn't want one?
  8. The BRUINS will only go as far as their goaltending allows. Offensively, the BRUINS are challenged.
  9. True, but he does still hold the record for most points scored in a single pro football game. 40 points.
  10. Speedster McGuire out at 3rd. Nope, he's safe. Speed kills.
  11. BRUINS begin their series against the Panthers tomorrow night. Talk about no rest for the weary. Well, it's the BRUINS' fault for extending the Leafs to 7 games.
  12. Unless all this good pitching is a fluke, my pick, so far, for SOX MVP is Andrew Bailey.
  13. Hey, Vegas, do you remember the football player Ernie Nevers? Btw, he also played baseball for the St Louis Browns.
  14. Chriswell may be in the doghouse. Cora was very explicit telling Chriswell not to give up any runs thru 5.
  15. Good or average pitcher. Against this SOX lineup does it matter?
  16. Great escape from Houdini Chriswell. Twins doing a very good impersonation of the SOX that half inning.
  17. Devers has been more selective. Don't know if that's a good thing.
  18. Also interesting is the last time the Leafs won the cup was 1967; the year baseball turned around in Boston.
  19. The BRUINS/Leafs rivalry is similar to the SOX/Yankems rivalry before 2004.
