    One has to wonder where the SOX would be in the standings if they just had an average defensive infield. F'ing Story's injury obviously didn't help.

    It sux what happened that inning, because once Houck walked Soto and Judge, he was more or less facing a Marlins' line-up.

    Hamilton is also a better hitter than Valdez, so it makes no sense, unless Hamilton has an injury. Being that this is the SOX, that's entirely possible.

    2nd bad start in a row. With his innings total so far this season, this is a foreign country for Houck. But, as usual, bad defense comes back to haunt the SOX.

    Valdez sucks at 2nd. Why isn't Hamilton playing 2nd? WTF!

    One can only imagine what Billy Martin would have done to Volpy.

    Interesting is that Judge has a .314 BA, 32 HR's and 83 RBI and he's second to Gunner Henderson in WAR. 32 HR's and 83 RBI's would be a very good full season for a lot of major leaguers and it's still early July.

    BTW, the 5th player on that list is Bobby Witt, Jr. He ranks 3rd.

    Over the last few years he's probably been the Yankems' most effective starter against the SOX.

    Of the 5 highest WAR's in the AL 4 are AL East players. Henderson, Judge, Soto and Duran.

    Nestor the molester has a 1.78 ERA at home and over 5 on the road.

    The SOX have the 3rd best W/L record on the road in MLB. Only the O's and Yankems are slightly ahead.

    Houck vs Cortes(LH) Duran Refsnyder O'Neill Devers Wong Gonzalez Masa Valdez Rafaela Need a bounce back game from Houck tonight. Soto and Judge make the Yankems' line-up better than the Marlins. If Houck can shut those two down, the odds of the SOX winning greatly improves. Again, thank you, Captain Obvious. Go SOX!

    Sweeping any team is not easy, so congrats to the SOX for the win. Yankem series is now a lot more serious than anyone would have thought a month ago.

    A case where the pitcher fell in love with one pitch. Too bad, because the Yankems lost again today. A chance to be only 4 games back in the loss column.
