    I believe I'd heard that if a player is picked up after being DFA'd, the team, in this case the Dodgers, would have 5 days to request a trade for him. That's what I thought I'd heard, so I may have misunderstood.

    The SOX FO is in serious discussions with the Dodgers regarding soon to be DFA'd James Paxton. Start saving for your SOX PO tickets. When there's a DFA, the SOX FO circles him like a vulture. Anyway, it won't cost the SOX much whether Paxton is good or bad and they do need a LH starter.

    Unfortunately for Devers he won't be facing Cole this weekend. Cole is pitching against the Mets and taking a pretty good pounding. 5-2 Mets in the 5th.

    Btw, just when you thought you'd seen the worst relievers the SOX have signed, along comes Horn and Mr Anderson and you have to re-evaluate the word worst.

    I wonder what Mr Anderson and Horn discuss when they're sitting out there in the BP? Mr Anderson: " Ya know, Horn, this is just temporary until I get my mixologist degree." Horn: "I know what you're saying. I'm taking clown lessons, so I can perform at kids' birthday parties."

    I was probably too rough on Pivetta. He's hasn't really been that bad this year. However, he should never visit Denver again for the rest of his life.

    The only guy I've ever seen who could pitch and catch his own pitches was Bugs Bunny. But he was much quicker on his feet than McGuire.

    This is the 1st time the SOX have given up multiple runs in each of the 1st 4 innings since 1978. Against the Yankems of course.

    Based on everything that's gone wrong this season(injuries), IMHO, this has been Cora's finest year as a manager. He's definitely swayed my opinion.
