  1. Very good job by Pivetta. Should have only been charged with one run.
  2. Interesting fact: In 1984 all three SOX OF's, Rice(122), Armas(123) and Evans(104), had over 100 RBI. The SOX finished the season at 86-76. Must have been some pitching woes on that team also.
  3. I guess it would have to depend on the amount of the QO. Right now Pivetta is making 7.5 mil. Would 20 mil for 2 years be too much for a #4 starter. I don't know.
  4. I soitenly hope not, but with the SOX no longer a big market team, who knows.
  5. With a lefty on the mound and the bases empty, I would IW O'Neill.
  6. The '84 Tigers started the season at 35-5 and ended up with a 104-58 season. Four wins less than the 2018 SOX.
  7. And the SOX this season have had more than their share of ugly losses.
  8. Not as dumb as the FO if they offered it to him.
  9. Martin, who actually is a pitcher, needs to stay healthy the rest of the season for the SOX to have any chance. Because baseball is strange, Kenley gets the win.
  10. I just wish the SOX could finish the season on the road.
  11. What's been proven in the games I've watched is that there's too many teams and not enough quality pitching. Especially, when so many of the quality pitchers end up on the IL. This includes both starters and relievers. BTW, never confuse pitchers with throwers.
  12. Rafaela only hits important homers. Gotta love him.
  13. Please FO, don't present O'Neill with a QO; he just might take it.
  14. So many mediocre teams this season. That's why there's so many teams still in contention for that last PO spot.
  15. It's quite possible that Grissom will never play another game for the SOX. If you don't remember who Grissom is, you're forgiven. I believe Kristian Campbell will be the SOX 2nd baseman next season.
  16. Amazing how a team can play so much better on the road than at home.
  17. Perhaps the best thing Bloom did for the SOX was not to trade him.
