  1. Houston doesn't have a #3,4, and 5 starter. All their starters are 1's and 2's.
  2. We all follow baseball, so we all know that good pitching and good defense is what wins championships. Good pitching will beat good hitting is a cliche, but it's also true.
  3. I'm getting the Astros' feed and on the bottom of the screen it showed final score O's 5 Yankems 3 when I posted that.
  4. This is Kelly's only bad appearance since the 1st game of the season. I'm not throwing him under the bus yet.
  5. Good pitching beats pride.
  6. That's gonna leave a mark on Kelly's stats.
  7. I'm sure DD is paying attention. He knows there's a good chance of playing Houston in the playoffs, so he must know this current roster still isn't good enough.
  8. The hated Yankems have Judge batting second, so that would support that theory.
  9. True. But if this game goes extra innings, it's Swihart batting and not JD.
  10. Tonight was our best chance, but there is still one inning left.
  11. I agree. It does make sense to have team's best hitters have the most at bats.
  12. So Cora takes his best hitter out of the game. Another head-scratcher.
  13. At least the Yankems lost to the wingless birds.
  14. OOPS. Sorry, I thought you were responding to my post.
  15. Leaning that I'm joking or leaning that JD s/b batting 3rd?
  16. betts jd beni moreland bogey holt jbj leon devers
  17. The main reason is he'll get more at bats during the season than batting 4th, and he'll still have opportunities for RBI.
  18. Does anyone here know if Nunez was ever struck in the face by a pitched ball while in the major league? I ask that because I've never seen a player more afraid of a baseball than Nunez.
  19. I believe that the best hitter on the team s/b batting 3rd. On the SOX that would either be Betts or JD. I doubt Cora will move Betts to the 3rd spot, so JD s/b batting 3rd in every game he plays. C'mon, Cora, it's not rocket science.
  20. Bogey is a .275-.280 hitter. When the season's over, that's where he'll be.
  21. When a team plays Houston, there's no waiting for a bad starter to beat. Houston doesn't have a bad starter.
  22. Nice hit by JBJ. Say what you will, but the guy is ready to play everyday.
  23. If Sale is throwing 97, I doubt there is anything physically wrong with him.
