  1. Nice throw him out by VAZ and Lin.
  2. I'm guessing that Cal stayed away from the weight room.
  3. Cal Ripken has to be shaking his head at these guys.
  4. All that bowling must have really built up strength in Mookies right hand and wrist.
  5. Other than the SOX having a historical year in wins, the other most surprising stat is the Astros' won/lost record at home.
  6. That final nail should have been hammered in weeks ago.
  7. I'd love to see Mookie hit for the cycle, but triples are the hardest to achieve. But Betts has his speed going for him.
  8. He purchased rocket shoes from the Acme Co.
  9. In regards to the Guardians having 4 starters with over 200 K's, it reminded me of the Guardians and the O's having 4 pitchers to win 20 or more in a single season. With the 5 man rotation and pitch counts, I truly doubt that will ever happen again.
  10. Betts at the plate reminds me so much of Hank Aaron.
  11. I'm just hoping that before the PO's start Beni can re-learn how to drive balls to right field, especially against RH's.
  12. Great play. Lack of speed creates a surplus of great defensive plays.
  13. I agree. Kelly over LAZ.
  14. Depending how the A's and Yankems fare over their next 4 games, the 3 game SOX/Yankem series could still determine which wild card achieves the HFA. If that's the case, it will be interesting to see how the SOX will put together their line-up and pitching against the Yankems. Here's a little poll: please choose who you would prefer to play in the opening round? And yes, because of the big differences in the ballparks, I believe HFA will make a significant difference. I would prefer the SOX go against the A's.
  15. POM didn't put himself in the game; his manager did.
  16. Btw, nice job tonight by both BJ and Kelly.
  17. What else is new? One thing I won't worry about in the PO's is Cora's managing. The SOX have been able to overcome it for most of the season.
  18. I hope Porcello excuse makers aren't gonna blame SWI for Rick's outing tonight. Swi should be the starting catcher or at least platoon with Pearce at 1st in the PO's.
  19. Can the SOX advance very far in the playoffs with 2 starters that can be relied on? Perhaps. They've won 100+ games with this less than stellar pitching staff.
  20. Porcello's ERA pretty much describes him as a pitcher. Nothing to write home about.
  21. I'll also sign that.
  22. The SOX had their 'meaningless' line-up out there while the Guardians had their 1st team. I'm pretty sure even Guardians' fans noticed that.
  23. Nice win by the 2nd team. Holt never embarrasses no matter where he plays. A real keeper.
  24. DH would, imho, be his ultimate position, but the SOX already have a pretty good one.
