Actually, the SOX don't have to catch the Yankems or Rays to make the PO's. They just have to finish with a better record than Cleveland or Texas. I beleve that's a more realistic endeavor.

Snell has a W/L record of 3-5. Just using that stat would reflect he's a below average pitcher. Completely misleading and is given too much importance in comparing pitchers.
W/L is a good yardstick for measuring a team's performance. W/L, by itself in regards to a pitcher, signifies almost nothing in judging his performance. Case in point, the SOX starter.
