  1. Now that I think about it, have the SOX ever acquired a player from the Rays who wasn't a complete disappointment?
  2. This will be the 1st time the SOX have been swept this season.
  3. Now I wish the Yankems had gotten EVO.
  4. After making a great 1st impression, EVO is now causing deep depression. Does the lemon law come into play so that the trade can be reversed?
  5. Not sure it's the first.
  6. To attain the won/lost record the SOX enjoy required a lot of overachieving and luck. Unfortunately, neither of those things may last the whole season.
  7. Lately Eovaldi has made that Beeks' trade for the birds.
  8. If Tampa's hitting ever catches up to their pitching, they will be a contender.
  9. I believe it's kind of early to call this a collapse. The Yankems are playing the O's and the SOX are not. And Tampa's home field won/loss record reflects that other teams, besides the SOX, are having trouble winning there.
  10. I'm willing to bet that at season's end Altuve will be the BA champ. He's just automatic. Betts has played in 110 of 131 games so, imho, I doubt he's tired. He's in a slump, which he will get out off. He's too good a hitter not to.
  11. More than likely tomorrow will find the SOX 6 games better than the Yankems in the loss column, which is the exact number of games remaining between the two teams.
  12. I doubt anyone here thought they'd have 90 wins on AUG. 24TH.
  13. There are 8 pitchers in MLB with 15 or more wins right now. POR is the only one with an ERA over 4. The pitcher who has the 2nd best overall stats in MLB is 8-8.
  14. It really sucks that the two teams with the best records in MLB are both in the same division.
  15. The SOX were 50 games over .500 going into this game. They appear to be in a funk of late. Better now then in late September.
  16. I second that emotion.
  17. Because baseball is all about money, I would go with cheap wallet.
  18. Looking at that pick-off of Beni, the throw was perfect.
  19. Going into this game the Rays are 39-24 at home.
  20. With relievers ERA can be misleading/deceiving.
  21. When it comes to POR, you can either look at his won/lost record or his ERA. I've always believed that ERA is a more accurate stat for measuring a pitcher's season performance. Again, I refer to DeGrom.
  22. BREAKING NEWS: Yankems not dead.
