    It seems the SOX BP performs much better when the SOX are behind. That may account for the BP stats being better than the BP actually is.

    Barnes doesn't have the mental toughness to be a set-up man, much less a closer.

    Barnes never met a 20+ pitch count inning he didn't love.

    Anytime the manager asks a questionable reliever to go two innings, he's really pressing his luck. Most of which he used up last year.

    The simplest explanation for the drop off of Betts this year is that last year he was smashing the pitcher's mistakes. This year he's either fouling them off or missing them completely. Thank you again, Captain Obvious.
