  1. There's a lot of variables in that statement.
  2. No doubt; JBJ can catch with the best and hit with the worst.
  3. He still may get his 5th win. That would put him near the top in the league for wins.
  4. I wonder if the O's would trade Means for a gold glove outfielder?
  5. The trouble I notice with Beni is that he doesn't appear to know whether he wants to be a pull hitter or a spray hitter.
  6. I've been liking VAZ's approach at the plate. Nice, smooth stroke; not over-swinging. I declare him to be 'not an easy out.'
  7. Even if there was a man on 1st, striking out into a DP is rare.
  8. Walden, like Brazier, are proof that if you're pitching or hitting well, no matter where you are, the scouts will find you.
  9. I could picture Moreland banging 40 homers with a .210 BA at the end of the season. That would be fine.
  10. Hess should be pumping gas instead of throwing a baseball.
  11. He prefers to remain anonymous.
  12. Because of injuries and more improved teams this year, I would be very surprised if any team in the AL wins 100 or more games this year.
  13. Looks like Walden won't get his 5th win of the season.
  14. When it comes to pitching, the SOX obtained Brasier from Japan and they got Walden from an independent league. Anywhere is better than trying to find a pitcher in their own minor league system.
  15. You treat JBJ as you would most pitchers at bat.
  16. Wasn't that special? Any similarity between this year's team and last year's doesn't exist.
  17. You mean turn over in his grave?
  18. Whether Chavis is cooling off or not, I still want him playing everyday at 2nd.
  19. Chavis appears to be cooling off, while JBJ has been dead for quite a while. Hell, he's decomposing.
  20. One main thing that Porcello gives the SOX that the other 4 regular starters don't is availability.
  21. That out by Villar went 6 inches with an exit velocity of 1mph.
  22. After watching the BRUINS advance in the PO's, I watched this dull excuse for a baseball game. Means proved again that good pitching will beat good and bat hitters, which the SOX have a fair share of both. It also magnified how bad the White Sox pitching was. Maybe the SOX FO could put a package together of JBJ and Josh Smith and put that package in a helicopter and drop it in the Charles River. Seriously though, Josh is still a young man and a career change is something he should truly consider. Weber, OTOH, for a pitcher who came through the SOX organization, was better than the usual flotsam they come up with. I still believe Pearce will come around with the bat eventually, but that could just be wishful thinking.
  23. Has X-man ever done well batting 2nd in the order?
  24. Porcello is probably a better hitter than the bottom 3 of the SOX line-up.
