  1. I'm blaming this lead on Devers.
  2. The 2nd best Bond. James Bond.
  3. The hardest thing to do in baseball is hit. Right now Chavis is doing that. When he stops doing that, I'll be glad to have Nunez or Pedey back at 2nd. Well, not really, but I think you get my point.
  4. Your point is well taken, but I doubt Chavis considers himself cannon fodder. He's getting a chance to play and he's taking advantage of it. Also, everyday he's getting professional coaching on playing 2nd base.
  5. If the SOX medical staff later on says it's day-to-day, it's probably serious.
  6. Ironic that Ian Kinsler may be the main reason the SOX were so anxious to re-sign Pearce. If Kinsler doesn't make that error in game 4, the SOX sweep and there's no game 5 for Pearce to go crazy.
  7. You'll probably be the 1st one who complains when Pedey isn't hitting.
  8. .103 gets a face transplant.
  9. I thought the discussion was Chavis getting hurt playing 2nd base, not sliding into 2nd base. Btw, when Pedey comes back and is put back at 2nd, I don't want to hear complaining that Pedey isn't hitting. Of course, there will be complaining. Where's Chavis? will probably be the 1st complaint.
  10. I'm quite happy right now with Chavis.
  11. Islanders thrived most of the season because of their goaltending tandem. Scoring goals was not their strong suit.
  12. White Sox feed said that JBJ hurt his elbow last night trying to catch 9th inning homer.
  13. So Pedey is on rehab assignment. I wouldn't want Pedey to come back too soon.
  14. So Cora would have had JBJ and Leon in the line-up if JBJ had been available. So much for Cora taking my advise. Not surprised.
  15. My bad. I didn't realize that JBJ was not available.
  16. Fate has caused both JBJ and Leon batting back-to back. UGH!
  17. A normal batter strikes out and causes one out. A terribly bad batter strikes out and causes two outs.
  18. Well, at least Cora took my advise by not putting JBJ and Leon in the same line-up.
  19. Speaking of the hot hitting Devers, who would you select as the best all-around 3rd baseman? I'd pick Mike Schmidt.
  20. With Sale's slider 94 is fast enough.
  21. I don't know how well Chavis will evolve defensively, but I'm fairly sure he's gonna evolve into a very good hitter.
  22. Too bad Devers and JBJ couldn't meld into one player.
  23. The SOX have an 80% chance now of winning.
  24. Theoretically, a pitcher could throw a quality start in every game he pitched during the season and still end up with an ERA of 4.50.
