  1. Hard to believe the Mets gave up on this guy. His first start in the ML and his first dinger given up.
  2. SOX pitching scout is now checking out the dumpsters in Nebraska.
  3. It seems appropo that HAPP would be pitching against the Happless SOX.
  4. The SOX could probably get some decent pitcher in a trade for Devers. There's really few players not on my keeper list that any other team would have much interest in. Workman and J.D. might get us something.
  5. So, Verdugo, X-man, and VAZ. That's my keeper list.
  6. Perhaps, but they should definitely keep VAZ. He's a quality catcher. But that's it.
  7. SOX should definitely keep X-man and Verdugo. Everyone else on this current team is expendable.
  8. With more games next year, I'm sure the SOX will be able to make more history.
  9. One run on 26 pitches. Relatively speaking, not bad.
  10. If the SOX do draft a top-rated pitcher, is it possible said pitcher could be developed in some other major league team's farm system?
  11. Also, because of Good Will's no return policy, the SOX will no longer shop there for pitching.
  12. A 30 year old cast off from the Mets, Mazza in his 9 appearances in the majors has yet to give up a dinger. He also had a very small dinger percentage during his time in the IL. He could be our savior. If not, there's still thousands of dumpsters the SOX haven't checked out yet.
  13. I say let's continue with this thread tomorrow night. No point embarrassing someone to open a new game thread.
  14. I'm too old to do that, Vegas.
  15. 11-4. Sorry, I missed a run. Broderick still says hello.
  16. 10-4. Broderick Crawford says "hold my beer."
  17. These guys were signed? I didn't know one had to sign for stuff at Good Will.
  18. Consistency is what wins championships.
  19. Also an indecent hitting team.
  20. Maybe it's time to give Smoltz another tryout.
  21. So you want to extend Barnes' contract if I'm reading your post correctly.
