    Before his injuries Gibson was very fast on the bases along with his power. Similar to Mantle before Mantle's leg injury.

    The definition of an athlete that I like is a person who can play more than one sport at an extremely high level. Using that definition, I would consider Kirk Gibson and Bo Jackson two of the finest athletes I have had the pleasure to watch.

    Having ckecked Kirk on the internet I discovered he is fighting Parkinson's. I wish him the best and I should have known this before I ignorantly criticized his announcing.

    Getting the Detroit feed. I respect Kirk Gibson as a great athlete, but he should not be working in the announcing booth. It's like c'mon Kirk, what are you trying to say?

    Decent starting pitching would also help. BP isn't the only part of the SOX pitching staff that sucks.
